CHÃ DE PARADA I Dolmen

A large dolmen, built with nine pillars, with an access passage, which is different from the burial chamber in its plant and elevation, originally made up of three pillars on each side. Engravings are still visible on the inside and should be preserved by us. The capstone of the dolmen is broken, and both the stone covering the passage and the one functioning as entrance door are missing. The latter was accessed through an open space. National monument since 1910, it became the trademark of the town and the county of Baião. ex-libris the village and the county of Baião.
